The event in Montenegro gathered over 700 participants, including ministers, civil protection leaders, private sector representatives and various stakeholders from the UN Member States.

One of the features of the conference was the exhibition of the Disaster Risk Register. UNDP Serbia team presented the new functionalities and analytical capabilities that the Serbian Disaster Risk Register will have in terms of public health risks after the update within the “EU for Healthcare in Serbia” project. UNDP team showcased how the targeted EU support for health and DRR in Serbia throughout the years contributes safer and more resilient nations and regions.

Participants from different countries showed great interest in the Disaster Risk Register, especially in its link to the national spatial data infrastructure (NDSI) and its innovative tools for risk management and emergency response, investment planning and sustainable development based on risk knowledge and awareness.

The ongoing upgrade of the Disaster Risk Register is being realized within the initiative "EU for Healthcare System in Serbia", which is jointly implemented by UNDP and WHO, with financial support of the European Union. The upgraded version will be available to the relevant institutions and the public by mid-2025.
