Financial institutions, cultural professionals and artists have access to financial assistance under the Creative Europe 2021-2027 programme. The themes of this programme are audience development, transnational mobility and capacity building of cultural institutions.

Who can apply for the European Union project - Creative Europe? Only the institutions and organisations with the legal status in Serbia, which have existed for at least two years (from the date of application) and whose field of activity includes culture.

Creative Europe Desk Serbia consists of two offices: MEDIA desk Serbia and Culture desk Serbia.

The Culture sub-programme has four main ways of financing: European cooperation projects, literary translations, European networks and European platforms. The MEDIA sub-programme includes: support for film education, TV programmes, development of group and individual projects, development of video games, cinema networks, film festivals, access to markets, online promotion, etc.

i-Portunus is a scheme funded by the European Commission that supports the mobility of artists, creators and cultural professionals, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation among all countries participating in the Creative Europe programme. i-Portunus is Erasmus in the field of culture. Who can apply for i-Portunus? Artists, creators and cultural professionals working in any field of culture (except audio-visual arts) have the right to apply provided they reside in one of the countries participating in the Creative Europe programme, so the citizens of Serbia have the right to participate in i-Portunus.

Through the Erasmus+ Programme, schools, universities, libraries, museums and cultural centres can also receive financial support. HERITAGE-PRO is an example of a project funded through Erasmus+ 2014-2020.

The Horizon Europe 2021-2027 Programme also supports culture, creativity and an inclusive society through projects of sustainable innovation, job creation and improvement of working conditions.
