Photo contest “Natura 2000 in the frame” is opened on September 14th to November 27th 2020, promoted by the project “EU for Natura 2000 in Serbia” in collaboration with Energy portal.

The intention and goal of the photo contest is to show the importance of biodiversity conservation and the beauty and diversity of natural landscapes in Serbia, highlighting the spaces that will be part of the future Natura 2000 Network.
Main topics on which the participants have to be focused on: protected areas landscapes, natural beauties, flora and fauna, sustainable human activities (sustainable agriculture, tourism and other activities).
“The Natura 2000 network, still in the process of establishment in Serbia, has significant benefits for nature and people. It promotes the conservation of the most valuable habitats and species in Serbia, the country nature patrimony that all citizens should preserve. Still, also, it creates new economic alternatives around, based on eco-tourism, sustainable agriculture and other activities which will ensure the benefit for all of us in the long term” – expressed the Team Leader of the EU Natura 2000 Project, Ana Iñigo .
Every week a professional jury will select the best photos received until the end of the contest when an award ceremony will prize the best three candidates. The Jury members are: Team Leader of the “EU for Natura 2000 in Serbia” project Ana Inigo, Project Manager in the EU Delegation to Serbia Antoine Avignon, Project Manager from Ministry of Environmental Protection – Sector for Nature Protection and Climate Change Snezana Prokic, photographer Bojan Dzodan, multimedia artist Mina Radovic and Editor in Chief of Energy Portal Nevena Djukic.
